In this video I’m still trying to figure out a style of video I want to make. Look how tiny she is!!! This was something I used to do with my old dog. The scent that we decide on here doesn’t matter. If you have something specific to work on like narcotics then by all means, train with that. I’ve found that it’s pretty easy to introduce new smells later. My last dog could be turned onto a new scent with 2-3 reps of making it super easy. For IGP we are going to need her to use her nose in a different way; however, this is an easy way to work the nose every day.

The fundamental skill being shown here is shaping. That’s what I’m trying to say in the video. I think that’s why I like nose work so much, you get to watch the dog teach her self. It’s cool.
