obedience fetch

So, we're going to do some obedience training disguised as fetch. So, you can see I take off here with a disc underneath my armpit and that's where her attention is. Then we'll do a couple obedience things and then I'll give it a toss. >> Sits. Good. Sits here. Spin. Release. >> We never walk towards the dog when they have a toy. We want them to come to us. So, always walk backwards, not towards them. Boost. That was a sexy about face, wasn't it? Another one. You can tell we practice this, can't you? >> Yes. She came back and she got distracted by Denali. So, we just gave her a real small stem with the collar set at about 10, which is why she dropped it. But, um, we go back and pick it up. >> Because of the stem, um, she's a little like on edge cuz she's a puppy and she's not used to the collar. So, that's why we make this one a not a lot before she gets the reward. >> Got to go backwards. Got to go backwards. >> You see how she's coming back kind of slow? I should have stopped right here and just went back inside, but I decided to do a whole another set. So, that's my bad. I knew she was going to mess up this stand to come.
