A friend asked about crab walking during heeling. It’s a hard issue to deal with when we do competition heels. It’s a classically conditioned response to be closer to the reward. You can read up on it by looking up reward placement videos, but essentially I’m going to fix this by changing the location of the reward. In this case I let it fall way behind us, so if she wants to get closer to the reward she actually has to fall back.
