Plan

I purchased Traiing Level 1Tracking Dogs for Police and Search and Rescue. I want to try working out some tracks the way he’s shows in this video.

Setting a Track

• Go over hot spots
• Corners
• Downwind vs Upwind
• How often do we want to reward in footsteps?

Scenario

• Handler lays track by walking out in a long straight line creating hot spots and rewarding some amount of the time. Lays down out of sight, waits with reward.
• Helper waits 5 minutes then guides the handler’s dog down the track.

Other stuff

Griz is killing it with send aways and I have been expanding on the skill over the week. I can’t show you guys this week because her leg is hurt. However, I think I can help guide steps to improving send aways.

We always could practice more heeling and down stays. I have been introducing Griz some reset commands that have made heeling a bit more fun.

I’m not planning to bring any bite stuff.
